Thank God its Friday!

Its Friday again, how fast a week must have gone by for some of us out there, slogging at work or idling at home notwithstanding.

What a way to start the day considering that I caught my favourite Bball team, the Phoenix Suns get blown away by the Golden State Warriors or at least for 3/4 of the contest. Mind you, the Suns offense was running fine but it was the defense that let the team down for the first 3 quarters of the game with Jason Richardson and co shooting the lights out at the Oracle Arena, leading the host to a 23 point lead at the end of the 3rd.

The 4th quarter was a whole new different ball game as the Phoenix bench played real D but left it too little too late as their late surge brought them as close as 6 points with a little over 1 minute to play in regulation. But Suns' reserve point guard, Marcus Banks who had done such a terrific defensive job on Baron Davis and been an offensive catalyst in the final period had a costly turnover. Banks lost the handle and had the ball stolen by Davis to drive all the way to the basket. All the hard work undone as Banks and the rest of the Phoenix were left to contemplate what could have been should they have played better defense and not given up 13 baskets from beyond the arc with Richardson hitting 8 of those. They went on to lose by a margin of 5.

Let us look forward to an eventful weekend of activities. Of course there is the Liverpool vs Arsenal English Premier League Fixture to look forward to. Yes, Live of ch23 ESPN tomorrow evening at 07.40pm. You can be sure I'll be right there, glued infront of my telly, cheering my beloved Reds to grab the impetous and to victory over their arch rivals. What better way to exorcise the ghost and painful memories of the 3 defeats suffered at the hands of the Gooners then to secure the much needed 3 points and leap-frog over them to consolidate a 3rd place finish. Besides what better time to take them on at Anfield considering their current injury-depleted plight.

Back to myself, I'm so happy I did something and you should have noticed (or hear it) by now. Be Right back peeps.
